Rebecca's peach dump cake

So it has been awhile since we posted but life and family happen but we are back with this tasty treat.

When we first moved out I didn't have a lot of kitchen experience.... ok ok ok I had no kitchen experience. So I had a lot of wonderful people helping me with easy recipes that I could follow and that would taste wonderful.

Our friend Rebecca gave me this one and it is so good and so super easy. Now you can make the cake and then pour it over the peaches but this is how I did it and how the recipe says to do it.

You need a 9x13 cake pan, 2 can of peaches, a yellow cake mix, butter and cinnamon
Dump both cans of peaches in pan

Pour the cake mix over the top and pat it down

Dot the top with the butter

Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake.

Remove form oven top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream and enjoy warm.

Like I said you can mix up the cake like it says on the box then pour it over the peaches and bake. That will give you a less dry/cobbler cake and more of a peach cake. Ether way is absolutely delicious. You can also use whatever fruit you like.

Recipe

2 (16 ounce) cans peaches in heavy syrup
1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Empty peaches into the bottom of one 9x13 inch pan. Cover with the dry cake mix and press down firmly. Cut butter into small pieces and place on top of cake mix. Sprinkle top with cinnamon.
Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 45 minutes.
